Dr. Asad Ullah Khan, Lecturer in the Unit, obtained his M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology and Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Aligarh Muslim University. Part of his Ph.D. thesis work was carried out at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. His research interest include isolation of T4 nrdB mutants for investigation of structure-function relationship in RNA splicing of group-I introns as a model with a view to understand the requirement of secondary and tertiary structure of RNA in the autocatalytic splicing of intron. Published over 10 research articles, currently working on a post doctoral position at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey, USA.
