| A 54 – year old man has a nonproductive cough and exertion breathlessness. He also notes low – grade fever malaise, and a 7kg (15 Ib) weight loss occurring over 6 weeks. His white blood cell count is 13, 500/mm3. He has a history of mild asthma. A chest X – ray discloses peripheral lung infiltrates. What is your diagnosis ? |
